Our partners took part in a roundtable meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights. The topic of the meeting: “Employment of Ukrainian veterans”.

The meeting was attended by members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of central executive authorities, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Pension Fund of Ukraine, social partners, large state-owned enterprises, NGOs, academic institutions, and the media. They discussed the current situation, problematic issues and ways to solve them. Employment of veterans is the basis of economic independence. Therefore, it is crucial to work now to create favorable conditions for veteran businesses or for jobs that pay well.Oksana Alekseeva, head of the NGO Time for Action, spoke about the Project to Support Young Veterans and Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of business support for veterans.The video of the roundtable discussion can be viewed below.
